A move can mean working on a tight handover schedule, and the old mattress is not always making the trip. We review mattress-removal requests for Midland homes and rentals without assuming the rest of the room is being cleared.
Identify the mattress and any box spring, explain where they are and mention stairs or a long hallway. Keep bedding and belongings you want separate so the agreed pickup is clear.
From your first call to the agreed work
Show what is staying behind
Tell us the mattress size, whether a box spring is included and where each piece sits.
Review access and your deadline
Give the address, stairs and move-out timing. We confirm the quote and availability.
Clear the room of the agreed mattress
Should I mention a box spring with my mattress?
Yes. Identify every piece you want removed. A mattress-only description does not tell us that a box spring or bed frame is also part of the request.
Can I leave the mattress inside while asking for a quote?
Tell us its current location and the route out. Do not drag it downstairs just for a photo; the handling should be reviewed first.
Can you discuss a mattress pickup before a rental handover?
Yes. Give the address, your authority to request removal and the handover date. We check availability rather than promise every move-out deadline can be met.
Does the request include taking apart a bed?
Not automatically. Describe the frame and any disassembly needed separately so we can review the actual work before confirming the quote.
